Vaglio is an independent publication that reviews and compares the software and AI tools businesses actually use to get work done. Choosing the right tool is hard: pricing pages are confusing, marketing claims all sound the same, and switching later is painful. Our job is to cut through that noise with clear, practical guidance you can act on.

What we cover

We focus on the categories where picking the right product saves real money and time:

  • AI tools — AI writing assistants, image and video generators, and productivity copilots.
  • Project management — tools for planning, tracking, and shipping work across teams.
  • Email marketing & CRM — platforms for reaching customers and managing relationships.
  • Accounting & invoicing — software for freelancers and small businesses.
  • Security — VPNs, password managers, and tools that keep teams safe.
  • Web & hosting — website builders, hosting, and e-commerce platforms.
  • HR, payroll & support — back-office tools that help businesses scale.

How we review

Every guide is built around a simple question: which option is the best fit for which kind of reader? We compare real features, pricing tiers, and trade-offs rather than just listing specs, and we try to be honest about who a product is not right for. Our goal is for you to leave a page knowing exactly what to do next.

Who's behind Vaglio

Vaglio is run by one person who relies on these tools every day. By day, I work at a non-profit organization in South Korea, where doing more with limited resources means leaning heavily on the right software and AI services. Testing tools, comparing plans, and figuring out what actually works became part of my routine — and Vaglio grew directly out of that hands-on experience.

I started this blog to share honest, practical comparisons drawn from real use rather than marketing copy. It began with the AI and productivity tools I reach for at work, and over time I plan to expand Vaglio to cover a wider range of topics that help people and small teams work smarter.

How we stay free

Vaglio is reader-supported. Some links on this site are affiliate links, which means we may earn a commission if you sign up for a product through them — at no extra cost to you. We also display advertising. This never changes our recommendations: we only suggest tools we believe are genuinely worth your time, and our rankings are based on merit, not commissions.
